We are the foremost authority on clock repair and we offer hundreds of different models of timepieces on display in three showrooms. Suburban Clock has one of the largest selections of Black Forest cuckoo clocks in the USA. We stock both traditional and very unusual examples of the finest quality cuckoo clocks shipped directly from Germany.
Suburban Clock has dozens of different Grandfather clocks and floor clocks in stock to choose from. We include free local delivery and an in-house three year guarantee on each model.
Who are we?
Suburban Clock and Repair is still family owned and operated for three generations. Our founder Karl Schleutermann was famous for building giant cuckoo clocks in the United States. His Nephew, Rudi Kämper grew the business to its current size with the help of Klaus Ludwig, who continues to counsel as clockmaker emeritus. The current owner is Dolf Kämper and has been operating the family business for almost twenty years.
Dolf works with a gifted and expert staff with both senior clockmakers, horologists, and enthusiastic new trainees. We currently have three experts in cuckoo clock repair, two specialists in antique clock overhauls, two technicians who do house calls, and three senior clockmakers for special challenges in complicated restorations. We also have a specialist in battery and electric clock restorations, three emerging technicians, and a small sales and support staff.
